Recording is always free. Your plan covers the first transcription and default summary. Plaud Credits begin when the Agent creates or does something new.

At launch
What changes in your account
The update adds a separate Plaud Credits balance. It does not change your current subscription price or transcription allowance.
Your plan stays active
Your current subscription price, transcription allowance, renewals, and redemption codes continue as before. You do not need to take action.
A one-time free grant
Every account receives free Plaud Credits at launch. The amount depends on your plan and appears in your account when issued. Granted Credits are valid for 3 months and do not renew monthly.
A separate balance
Your remaining percentage appears in Plaud Mobile App, Web, and Desktop. The Plaud Credits page separates granted Credits from purchased packs and shows day-by-day usage.
Optional top-ups
Running out never triggers an automatic payment. Top-up packs require your confirmation, are purchased in the Plaud Mobile App, and remain valid for 1 year. Pack options and pricing will be shared at launch.

Does the new Plaud Intelligence change my subscription?
No. Your current subscription price and transcription allowance stay the same, and existing plans remain available for purchase and renewal.
Will I be charged anything on launch day?
No. The update and the one-time grant of Plaud Credits do not create an additional charge. Any purchase of Plaud Credits or transcription minutes requires your confirmation.
Does re-transcribing or re-summarizing use Plaud Credits?
Re-transcribing and the built-in Re-summarize use no minutes and no Plaud Credits. Generating or regenerating a summary with a template is also currently exempt. Asking the Agent in chat to rewrite a summary from a different angle uses Plaud Credits.
Do my free Plaud Credits expire?
Yes. Granted Plaud Credits are valid for 3 months from the date you receive them and do not refill monthly. Plaud Credits included with a Plaud One Explorer Edition pre-order are valid for 12 months from activation.
What happens when my Plaud Credits run out?
You will need additional Plaud Credits to continue using Credit-powered Agent features. Transcription and default automatic summaries continue under your current plan.
How do I buy more Plaud Credits?
Optional top-up packs will be available in the Plaud Mobile App when Plaud Credits launches. Web checkout is not available for top-up packs for now. Pack options and pricing will be shared at launch.
Does upgrading, downgrading, or cancelling affect my Plaud Credits?
During the Preview credit-grant campaign, upgrading grants the higher plan's Plaud Credits once. Downgrading grants nothing for the lower plan. Downgrading or cancelling does not take back Credits you already received; they remain until they expire.
How much does one Agent action cost?
There is no fixed per-action price. Usage depends on the task's length and complexity. You can review daily spending by category on the Plaud Credits page; a per-action reference guide will follow after real usage data is available.
Do minute packs change?
No. You can still buy minute packs from 120 to 6,000 minutes. They are added instantly and remain valid for 2 years from purchase.
