AWS Announces Plaud as Strategic Partner in AI-Powered Meeting Intelligence

Yesterday at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced Plaud as its strategic cloud provider—marking a major milestone in Plaud’s mission to make every conversation instantly useful.

With AWS’s global cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities, we’re accelerating product innovation while delivering faster, more reliable AI note-taking to people worldwide.

From Conversations to Workflow Intelligence

Work today is hybrid, distributed, and meeting-heavy. But the real challenge isn’t having conversations—it’s what happens after them. Notes are often incomplete, action items get lost, and context disappears the moment a meeting ends.

Plaud was built to solve that gap. Our AI meeting summary solution uses advanced natural language processing to extract key information from conversations, organizing it into clear takeaways that teams can act on immediately. The goal has always been bigger than summaries: to turn conversations into intelligence that moves work forward.

Scaling for Global Growth

Since launching our flagship product Plaud Note in June '23, followed by NotePin and Note Pro, Plaud has expanded rapidly across North America, Europe, and Asia. As of June 2025, more than 1.5 million Plaud devices have been deployed globally. This growth means two things:

  1. Customers everywhere deserve state-of-the-art performance.
  2. Our infrastructure needs to scale with our user base—without compromising speed, security, or cost efficiency.

AWS provides the foundation to do both.

Faster Experiences, Anywhere in the World

By deploying synchronously across AWS regions, we have reduced cross-region access latency by 80%. This architecture enables real-time speech transcription and notes generation no matter where users are located, creating a seamless experience across time zones and continents.

In practice, that means Plaud can deliver meeting insights and workflows quickly and reliably for users from New York to Berlin, to Australia—anywhere our customers work.

Moving Faster with Elastic Computing and Serverless Scale

To keep pace with customer needs, we adopted AWS and saw immediate results:

  • Development cycles reduced from weeks to hours
  • Overall operational efficiency improved by 30%
  • Better ability to ship features quickly and safely

High Performance, Lower Costs

Growth should never come with runaway internal costs. Plaud leverages:

  • Amazon EC2 GPU Spot Instances
  • Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling
  • Amazon EC2 Graviton4 processor-based instances

Together, these optimizations allow us to serve tens of thousands of concurrent users while:

  • Cutting compute costs by 50%
  • Improving price-performance by 25%
  • Maintaining consistently high response speed

This efficiency directly benefits customers by supporting fast, affordable meeting intelligence at scale.

A Modern Data and Analytics Backbone

To better understand product performance and user needs in real time, we built a scalable AWS analytics layer using:

  • Amazon S3 for data lake storage
  • Amazon Aurora for operational databases
  • Amazon Redshift for data warehousing
  • Amazon Aurora Serverless, Amazon MSK, and Amazon ElastiCache for a serverless, real-time processing pipeline

This architecture improves data processing and system response speeds by 30% while reducing operational overhead—helping our teams iterate faster and deliver better outcomes for customers.

Powering Voice Intelligence with Amazon Bedrock

At the heart of Plaud is world-class voice processing. Plaud implemented Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides access to multiple foundation models through a single API.

Bedrock helps us:

  • Seamlessly access and switch between leading models
  • Improve transcription and generation accuracy
  • Update or evolve models with minimal code changes

This flexibility means Plaud can keep improving contextual understanding and intelligence extraction as AI advances—without slowing down the product roadmap.

Security and Compliance at Global Scale

Trust is non-negotiable when handling conversations. AWS plays a critical role in Plaud’s global security posture, enabling:

  • 300% improvement in real-time threat detection efficiency
  • 100% encryption protection for data transmission and storage
  • Faster compliance readiness across Europe, North America, and China
  • 50% reduction in compliance review cycles for new region entries

This ensures we can expand responsibly while meeting the strictest enterprise expectations.

Looking Ahead

Plaud Partner and Head of AI Product & Development, Peter Mo shares:

"This partnership enables us to serve more people with best-in-class experiences. Looking ahead, Plaud will continue to deepen its collaboration with AWS to explore more AI applications in voice information processing."

We’re energized by what this partnership makes possible: smarter voice AI, real-time meeting intelligence, and a trusted AI work companion that transforms conversations into momentum.

Thank you to AWS for collaborating with us on this next chapter—and to our customers around the world for inspiring what we build every day.
