I work in education as an Assistant Principal and this thing is a game changer. Meetings are effortlessly transcribed and summarized. Sometimes I have multiple recordings that I can merge. During times where we joke around Plaud NotePin cancels that out.
A must buy if you have a lot of meetings or important conversations often.

The Plaud Pin and Desktop App are truly wonderfully designed. From the moment I unboxed the pin, I could tell a lot of thought had gone into its design: the magnetic attachment methods were remarkably secure and enabled the pin to fit anywhere on my person. The same mechanism makes it impossible to misalign the contact pads with the pins during charging, and the keychain hook makes the pin remarkably transportable. The AI integration is top-notch and offers a tremendous amount of functionality, and I've found the mind map + markdown export surprisingly useful (e.g. loading the markdown into Gemini and using it with Canvas enables a very sharable and useful tool to navigate longer conversations). I'm usually very ho-hum about most products I buy these days, but I've gone out of my way to talk up the Plaud Pin. Good job, everyone!

Just like the Plaud Note, the product quality is excellent. The record start/stop button feels a bit unresponsive at times, but this might be a trade-off to prevent accidental activation. As a request for future models - though I understand there might be design and waterproofing challenges - I'd love to see a direct USB-C charging port built into the device itself.

I ultimately purchased this to complement having the Note. I found that periodically I didn't have the Note attached to my phone and having the ability to wear the Pin makes for a "set it and forget it" situation where I put it on first thing in the morning and then I just roll through meeting after meeting. I have been pleased with the quality of the transcriptions and AI generated notes and reports.
